Today is Dillon’s first Diwali – the festival of light for Sikhs and Hindus around the world.
Diwali is a celebration of light, knowledge and good nature. It is usually marked by gifts, redecorating houses brightly and lighting lots of candles around the house.
I have lit several candles for Dillon, Harv and I today. I learnt today there is a significance for lighting candles in water – old folklore tales in India say flames by water protect you, bring happiness and luck to you.

Hello! My name is Lena and I'm married to the lovely Harv and we have a beautiful little boy called Dillon.
I want to share my positive experience throughout my pregnancy, childbirth and early stages of parenthood (plus lots of self-education) with others so these are all what my blog is about. I share my learnings, experience and how not to feel so daunted by childbirth plus tips we're picking up as new parents along the way!
Before having Dillon I was a marketing consultant in the media, so parenthood is a whole new but beautiful chapter in our lives. Thanks for joining me on my new wonderful parenting journey :)
Lena xx
